chana bloch phot

We want to invite you to an afternoon commemorating Chana Bloch's life and work.
We will hold a memorial for Chana on Sunday, October 8th, 2017, on the campus of Mills College, where she taught poetry, literature and creative writing for over thirty years. We will gather in the Littlefield Concert Hall at 1:00 p.m. for a presentation by prearranged speakers, including the chance for anybody else to speak their thoughts. The memorial will be followed by a catered reception on the Concert Hall lawn from 3:00 to 5:00.

We will send out invitations soon, with location and parking maps. There is no need to RSVP; this is just so you know the date.

Also, a request: will any of you who have film or video footage of Chana (especially of Chana reading her poetry -- even just a short film on your smartphone) please reply to this email to let us know. We would like to show some footage at the memorial, and would be grateful if you could send us an electronic copy!
Feel free to forward this message widely. We hope to see you there, and look forward to sharing memories of Chana.
